Burberry- Back With A Bang

By Casey in : Designers, Fashion Week, London, News // Sep 23 2009

Burberry made a triumphant return at London Fashion Week yesterday with a confident celebration of the brand and all that it stands for. After 8 years being absent from LFW it was just in time for the 25th anniversary. After joinng the FTSE 100 and now being worth over Two Billion Pounds, it seemed to be the perfect celebration. Designer Christopher Bailey who has helped transform Burberry into the luxury label that it is today, had created a wonderful array of pale-rose, lilac, celadon, beige and gold floating down the runway.

The new ‘vintage’ style garments creates an inventive spin on Burberry Prorsum’s Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. The return to LFW helped Burberry underline its British credentials after damaging coverage of a polo shirt factory closure in Wales.
