Zuhair Murad

I absolutely adore Zuhair Murad’s Fall 10/11 collection. He certainly knows how to make beautiful clothes and knows how to dress beautiful women. The Beirut born designer pursued his studies in art and design, and in 1995 opened his first atelier.

The style of his designs are said to be a mix of Eastern suggestions and a European sensibility for cuts and sartorial styling. Clearly seen in all his garments.

In 2001 his collection was presented during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, a move that captulated Zuhair Murad’s rising star status even further in the eye of the press and a growing crowd of international jet setters. He also recently presented his Fall 10/11 collection at Paris Fashion Week.

Celebrities such as Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria Parker and Fergie have worn his pieces down the Red Carpet for events such as The Oscars and The Grammys. Contributing to his reputation as a “Rocketing star designer”.

I personally think he is a fantastic designer and I adore his work, as a young up and coming designer myself, Murad is someone I get inspiration from and look up to. I of course have to add the fact that he is a fellow Lebanese, which makes me so proud.
