PLUMP UP THE VOLUME WITH SUNSILK’S BRAND NEW VOLUME PRODUCT RANGE CO-CREATED WITH INFLUENTIAL HAIR STYLIST TEDDY CHARLES.
“The number one thing every model and director wants on a fashion shoot is high-wattage volumised hair,” says influential French hair stylist Teddy Charles, who is one of seven global hair experts chosen by Sunsilk to co-create new products for specific hair types. Sunsilk’s “Plumped-Up Volume” directly targets roots for lasting lift and brings international elite hair expertise to millions of women worldwide for the first time ever.
Teddy Charles mastered his art by styling the tresses of models for brands such as Dior and Calvin Klein: “I am a perfectionist and I’m surrounded by perfectionists: fashion designers, magazine editors, models, make-up artists. None of us stop until we’ve achieved the best. The “Plumped-Up Volume” product I’ve co-created with Sunsilk will give girls everywhere long-lasting volume with natural body and bounce.”
Paris-based Teddy began his career assisting hairdressing greats such as Julien D’Ys and Orlanda Pita. He has since collaborated with world-famous photographers such as Mario Testino and Patrick Demarchelier. His creations appear regularly in fashion bibles such as Vogue, i-D and Numero. Teddy combines his flare for contemporary femininity and glamour with an edgy bohemian feel and high-impact volumised styles. He was an obvious choice for Sunsilk.
TEDDY’S TOP BACKSTAGE TIPS TO FOR CATWALK-VOLUME AT HOME
*A quiff is easier than you think whatever your hair type: backcomb the mid-lengths to roots from the front of the crown, mist with hairspray, then smooth down with a comb and clip in
*Use Sunsilk Plumped-Up Volume on your roots to give lasting volume with natural body and bounce
*Blow-dry wet hair upside down. Use the dryer directly on the roots to dry them straight upwards
*For movie-star hair, part a front section to create a sweeping fringe and then loosely pin up the remaining hair
*Only apply conditioner to the ends and not the roots.
*In a hurry? Turn your head upside down and massage your scalp with fingertips to liven up the roots and mist with hairspray
*If your hair is fine, try pinning up in lots of different sections to achieve a nest-like look
