The most anticipated issue of the year popped through my letter box today, and my subscription to British Vogue felt fulfilled. At first glance I was wowed, excitement to the reaction of sheer volume the prized September issue holds could not be contained. However excitement turned to slight boredom as I realised that British Vogue = Kate Moss on the cover. Again.
Don’t get me wrong she looks fantastic, and that Burberry pea coat is really just the final straw in my wanting everything Burberry Prorsum for my entire Fall wardrobe. The Burberry team also did a fantastic job with the make up. And Patrick Demarchelier really did something special with the photography.
It’s the 6th September issue with Moss on the cover, and although I feel they could have gone with a different face this year around, it is a fantastic way to mark her 30th Vogue cover shoot.
At least there’s a model gracing the cover and a British one at that. Whoever it may be, I’m just excited to get my fashion sense refilled. Autumn/Winter is my favourite time for fashion, and in my opinion the best season for styling and geting all layered up.
Kate has been a Vogue cover star 30 times and below are some of her previous September issues. From 2009, 2006, 2005, 2004 and 2000.
