Book worms will be happy to hear that Harrods Publishing and well-known photographer Rankin have launched a new book on fashion and couture; ‘Couture In The 21st Century’. It documents how contemporary designers such as Erdem and Hannah Marshall use the techniques of couture for current trends from the ‘golden age’, just like the geniuses did, say Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior. Written by the editor of Harrods Magazine, Deborah Bee, the book boasts a series of interviews with both the fresh faces and the all time greats, like Armani and De La Renta as they reveal their success. No fashion bible would be complete without pages of spectacular glossy photography, provided by Rankin himself shooting portraits for those that were interviewed (shown below). Hannah Marshall, Roland Mouret and Antonio Berardi all turned out in support for the launch. This one will definitely be beyond a good read and a real inspiration!
Available in all leading booksellers, priced at £40 or purchase your copy right here.
