Sara Berman: Private SS11 Preview

Ok so I have been a fan of Sara Berman since first featuring them back in January . Last week I popped into their Camden based studio for a private viewing and sneak peak of the SS11 collection. The first items du jour that I’m going to talk you through are these amazing leather jackets. They are literally the answer to all my leather prayers! Sexy studs aged and beautifully coloured leather and some feminine edge added on with 3D appliquéd roses on the back. Inspired by 1969 Rock n Roll they are just perfect to carry some edge into next Spring/Summer. I particularly love the black jacket with fringing on the sleeve. The arms sleeves are actually removable and it turns into a vest! How perfect?

What I know and love Sara Berman for are the accessories, and this includes bags, for example below is the perfect colour palette for my future accessories closet. The blue, mushroom and green shades are the perfect execution of Sara Berman’s vision of a summer’s day in the 60′s. The blue is one that i particularly have my eye on. Up close and personal they are so soft to the touch and look so rustic that you feel they tell a fabulous story of a 60′s blonde rebel in her flower power, festival going days.

One of my favourite from the collection is this bag pictured below; it can be worn in three different ways and is the perfect size for a girl on the go around the City.

Sara Berman has been collaborating with Dan Baldwin since AW10 and their collaborations were so popular that they have joined forces once more for SS11. Cowboys, the solar system and cute but creepy images, inspire the printed scarf below. The fabulously flowing dresses, which instantly make you want to attend a tea party in a garden, have been edited from best sellers from the past 10 years and are crafted from printed silk fabrics from Liberty.

I am so in love with the effortless girly appeal and for someone like myself who is not a frilly-dress-wearing kind of gal, these; I have to say, have instantly converted me!
