2010 has been a crazy year for me! It all started with a three month move to the desert heat of Dubai, with my sister Natalya, as we worked our hearts out to debut our first House Of Rena collection. Within three months, we designed and produced our first collection and organised a very campaign fun photo shoot.
I’m wearing the Red dress from the House Of Rena Debut Collection.
Soon after our arrival in Dubai we were approached by Unilever to become the UAE Ambassadors for one of their brands, Sunsilk. Which was so much fun and included Natalya appearing to the whole of the Middle East on the MBC network.
At the end of our first month in Dubai, Natalya and I attended the Dubai World Cup which was an experience to say the least! It was a very ehctic day but we met a lot of cool and interesting people and ended up having a blast!
During our stay many more dates and events occurred, the Grazia Style Awards, My 23rd Birthday, meeting Raina Hein of America’s Next Top Model and so much more! Most of it is documented in previous blog posts in the past 12 months.
In August I returned to Dubai and began my venture with PUMA.
After working hard in Dubai for 5 weeks I returned to London to begin working on the re-launch of FFF! Something I was incredibly excited about and couldn’t wait to reveal to all readers and followers. My trip to Dubai menat that I had to miss Fashion Week, however my fabulous Fashion Directors Natalya and Farah were there to get the low down on all of London’s shows and street style. Including an exclusive pose from a FFF favourite, Amber Rose.
October saw an array of press days and events in London, and an invite to speak at Central Saint Martins. I spoke about building your business online. It was a very successful afternoon and I was highly flattered to be a part of it.
Sooner than I could unpack I was flown to Dubai again for the launch of my Puma sneaker! The party was off the hook and so much fun! Something I found worth flying seven hours on twelve hours notice for!
One of the most exciting parts of my year was seeing a two page spread of Nataly and I in the Middle East’s biggest selling women’s magazine, Emirates Woman. Seeing this really made us proud and is truly a milestone as it’s our first spread in a fashion magazine. We couldn’t be more proud or excited about all the support we’ve received. It definitely helps us strive for more in 2011.
Now we’re it’s the end of my Fabulous 2010. I can’t wait for 2011 and all that is to come! My team has been amazing and there is no way on earth I could do any of what I am doing without them, let a lone have as much fun. I hope all readers have an amazing New Year and make sure you catch up with us in 2011!
