Just when we thought it couldn’t get better after a killer collaboration with Lanvin, it’s now time to make way for Versace to collaborate with H&M for 2011. Once upon a time, a high street collaboration wasn’t on the cards for the Italian fashion house simply to avoid any confusion with the brand’s level of luxury. But this line will be sold as an ‘Iconic Collection’ which will include womenswear, menswear and homeware and this will be available November 17th. I’m already picturing the queues in the early hours of the morning.
“I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching its wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere” - Donatella Versace.
Not only that, the collection will then be followed by a Pre-Spring 2012 collection to be made available online January 19th. Can you imagine the prints? The studs? This collaboration is seriously looking to be H&M’s best yet.
“Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times, and their collection for H&M will beglamorous and flamboyant - everything Versace stands for. This is such a celebratory collaboration and is perfect for the party season.” - Margareta van den Bosch, Creative Advisor at H&M.
