Monica Vinader Opens Flagship In London

On Wednesday evening, I was honoured to attend the grand opening of the highly anticipated Monica Vinader store on South Molton Street. My excitement was so evident that I arrived a tad early and had to eagerly wait in a nearby Starbucks for 15 minutes (any excuse for a skinny hazelnut latte)! When I approached the store, there was an instant rush through my fashionable body, with a velvet rope and champagne waiters on standby, it was the ultimate night of luxury and elegance.

I enjoyed the evening by chatting with the guests, of which included Kelly Brook, Jade Parfitt, Jacquetta Wheeler and the very lovely Kirstie Allsopp.

The interior is one of my favourite aspects of the Monica Vinader store (besides the obvious of course). This is because everything is hand picked by Monica, or from her own personal furniture collection.

The chandelier in particular is one of the most unusual I’ve ever come across.

The highlight of the evening, minus the delicious canapés and atmosphere was of course the jewellery. Monica is known for having a signature when it comes to her designs, each piece looks classic, elegant and yet utterly, utterly wearable. I had so much fun snapping away, it really didn’t matter that I was mistaken for a professional photographer the entire evening!
