LFW: Bora Aksu Spring Summer 2012

Bora Aksu showcased a collection titled ‘The Unknown’ for S/S 2012 giving us very Edwardian inspired pieces packed with frilled hemming, bows, lace and beautifully detailed panelling. The catwalk itself was covered in petals giving the show a romantic feel perfectly matching the collection itself said to be influenced by a love story. I took a trip backstage prior to the show and found myself surrounded by different textures, panelling and layers on full length gowns and knee length dresses. The garments came alive on the runway.
