LFW: Antonio Berardi Spring Summer 2012

Antonio Berardi was one of those shows that gave you an instant wake up call at 10am on a Monday morning. The setting was the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Waterloo and was perfect for the elegant and chic glamour that was all so evident in this Spring Summer collection. The first part of the 39-strong piece range displayed a story of romanticism with metallics, sheers and lots of beading. The emerald green accessories added some crisp vibrance.

As the collection progressed we saw a beautiful array of reds, sharp tailoring as well as futuristic touches in the form of cropped shiny leather jackets. I can see the sequinned leggings being heavily brought into the high street for next season as well as those beautiful mermaid fishtail gowns worn on the red carpet by starlets such as Mila Kunis or Scarlett Johansson.
