LFW: PPQ Spring Summer 2012

By Reem in : Designers, Fashion, Fashion Week, London // Sep 19 2011

The PPQ show was one of the last on the first day of a hectic London Fashion Week. I arrived quite late but luckily the show was still being queued for, so I hadn’t missed anything. In fact, the queue began to snake around the building. It was insanely packed. So much so that I had to gain entry via backstage, which looked nothing less than chaotic at this point. 5 minutes after I entered the show began, the music set off an atmosphere of 90′s cool and the models came out in full force. I instantly felt that it was reminiscent of Liz Tyler’s infamous safety pin Versace dress, it was that kind of cool. Lots of denim as this was collaborated with Lee Jeans and the socks and tights all by Bebaroque. It seems the perfect funky cool step into their Spring collection to mark their first decade in the industry.
