LFW: Christopher Kane Spring Summer 2012

It’s no wonder that this is always one of London Fashion Week’s most anticipated shows. The ultimate fashion ‘FROW-ers’ came out in full force for Christopher Kane’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection, including the likes of Eliza Doolittle, Anna Wintour, Anna Dello Russo and Kanye West. According to Vogue.com this season’s show which displayed pale metallic leathers, soft textures of floral embellishments and sporty touches left some of the audience ‘almost in tears’. The collection continued with gold and silver embellishments followed by beautiful cutout shift and mini dresses emblazoned with shimmering floral motifs.

The show venue itself was grand to say the least, set in one of my favourite new hangouts in London, One New Change in St Paul’s. Christopher Kane’s sparking guest list spread out over 2 rows across what seemed to resemble and air plane hanger, setting the scene for this striking and statement making collection.
