Emma Watson Covers Elle UK November 2011

When I first got my Elle through the door, I was excited to see Emma Watson on the cover, tweeting straight away with my initial thoughts, I mentioned her looking ‘fab’. On second thought my tweet read, ‘Why is half her face cut off?’ It caused quite a conversation on Twitter, with rather different opinions.
After seeing the rest of her shoot lensed by Rankin, it’s all executed to be fun, quirky and youthful (see video below) and I’m slowly coming around to the cover. In saying that, I do think Watson is far too gorgeous to be cut off half way through her jaw line so it might take some getting used to, but good on Elle for trying something different!
On the subscribers issue Emma wears embroidered feather jacket by Missoni.
On the newsstand cover Watson wears shearling gilet by Isabel Marant, wool jumper by Missoni and boots by Pollini for Louise Gray.
