Last week, the lovely Ella of Cocos Tea Party invited me for afternoon tea at the fabulous Bond & Brook located on the 2nd floor of New Bond St’s Fenwick. We were treated to an option of selected fine teas, including some more fruity flavours. Ella and I opted for the Orange tea to accompany our festive inspired tier of nibbles.
The restaurant/café is finely decorated. Hues of grey, silver and white are accented by pops of pinks, blues and greens in the form of napkin holders and in the rear there is a giant bookshelf housing some of fashion’s most famous titles, including extra large bottles of Allure Chanel as fabulous accessories to the stacks of Vogues, and hardback books.
In regards to the food, this was simply delicious. Ella and I took our time going through each tier. The finger sandwiches were presented in a refreshing new format. Rolled into mini Swiss rolls rather than the more mundane rectangle shapes you normally find on the bottom tear of Afternoon Tea displays. Moving on to the second layer, we had (the most delicious) mini scones, clotted cream and jam as well as mini Christmas puddings on sticks. The top tier was almost the best (it was too difficult to choose) where mini cupcakes and mini mince pies amongst some traditional Austrian Christmas cake were the perfect finishing touches.
Afternoon Tea at Bond & Brook is the perfect destination for a relaxed and enjoyable time.
Afternoon Tea is from 3pm and is £17.50 per person.
