Chanel Pre-Fall 2012

When Karl Lagerfeld presented the Chanel Pre- Fall 2012 collections in Paris, guests were treated to a visual expedition to Bombay direct from their fabulous seats. The collection dubbed ‘Paris-Bombay’ was infused with Indian inspirations whilst maintaining that quintessential Parisienne look. Fabrics such as metallic silks, velvet combined with tweed and exquisite stone, pearl and thread details were donned by models such as Lindsay Wixson and Saskia de Brauw as they cat-walked down Paris’s Grand Palais for an audience that included actresses Freida Pinto and Ashley Bargès-Frisbey.

When I first saw images of the set, it looked incredible; an infusion of luxury and decadence was displayed in the centres of the dining tables that decorated the Grand Palais and to add the opulent banquet, beads, pearls and jewellery were layered to add to the finer details.
