Louis Vuitton to Collaborate with Yayoi Kusama

The official news has come in that Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs is to collaborate with Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama. After being inspired by the 82 year old’s polka dot artistry (he featuring polka dot inspired pieces on the runway last season), the designer has been working with the artist to create a range of ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes, watches and jewellery to hit stores in July.
This will of course be launched with a bang. A polka dot explosion if you will, with window installations of the LV boutiques scheduled as well as a retrospective of Kusama’s work to be exhibited at London’s Tate on February 9th, following her current retrospective at Paris’ Centre Pompidou.
