Only a few more days and I’ll be chartering a flight ready to be back in London! I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I’ve been back, time seriously flies when you’re working your butt off. I couldn’t be more excited to hit old London town again, Reem and I have a lot of catching up to do, meetings to attend and good food to eat before the two of us and our nearest and dearest head off on a well deserved vacation somewhere fabulous!
Oh by the way, I don’t know if you saw over on instagram, but I recently jumped out of a plane 13,000 feet in the air on a sky dive in Dubai. Yes, I think it’s safe to say, I’m officially a bad ass, and when you’re feeling good about yourself, there’s no better way to express it then with your high heels, black shades and a fabulous lace back Madiyah Al Sharqi top. Just another causal day at the office.
These shots were taken a few days before I left Dubai, Natalya and I came across this quiet street in The Lakes and it immediately felt like we were transported to a quaint back street in rural Spain, so as bloggers, the opportunity for snapping some shots arose, naturally. The backdrop was actually perfect for this (almost) girlie look of mine that I put together with some of the latest pieces from Reiss. I am still weaning myself into wearing more and more skirts and this laser cut black piece has just the right amount of cool to add to the pretty for a (non) girl like me.
As the heat gradually begins to settle into the high thirties in Dubai, I find myself being more and more drawn to sartorial choices of the loose kind. It’s the type of weather that calls for nothing but light, breezy and easy to wear pieces. Hence the below, a day of about 37 degrees meant pulling out my chic but casual pants by Sonia by Sonia Rykiel. I love the heart print with bursts of red which were accented perfectly by Reem’s Maison Martin Margiela clutch, enough of a statement to keep the rest of the look super simple. Here’s to keeping cool in Dubai’s Summer!
