Next Monday will see the launch of the capsule collection created by Mary Katrantzou for Longchamp. The queen of prints has created a series of ‘East meets West’ themed totes for the French brand, an array of Eastern inspired motifs such as orchids, dragons and corals infuse these classic bags which have won me over.

It seems anything Mary Katrantzou touches lately turns into hot property and there’s no doubt these will be selling out fast so credit cards at the ready!

Kurt Geiger Spring Summer 2012 Collections

Getting a preview of the Kurt Gieger Spring Summer 12 collections was like taking a trip into your ultimate shoe closet. The brand is bang on trend for SS12 with bright pops of colour, metallics, pastel shades and exotic prints. Some of my favourites include the pastel wedges with metallic hints and of course who can forget the fabulous new accessories that we just can’t get enough of?

The collection will be hitting stores between February and March so get ready for some serious shoe shopping and in the mean time stock up on some pieces from their sale.

Elliot Rhodes: A Unique Interchangeable System

I’ve recently been introduced to Elliot Rhodes, a unique belt concept store launched in 2004 with a flagship in Covent Garden. Walking into the store is like walking into an oversized belt drawer. With every kind of colour, fabric and size imaginable all ready to be individualised with Elliot Rhodes’ unique interchangeable system.

Customers can express their creativity by completely making up their own belt design by first deciding on a strap from their wide range which includes calf hair, suede, exotic skins and more and then adding their own choice of belt buckle. The straps and buckles are all interchangeable which means you can create a collection of both for never ending styles!

After about an hour of browsing and lots of trying on, I decided on a belt. A black suede calfskin strap (£85), beautifully sprayed with metallic varnish for a real ‘galactic’ feel. I put it together with an open oval shaped buckle in gunmetal (£25). I wanted something that wasn’t too bulky as I normally wear my tops over my jeans and this buckle has a slim design so worked perfectly.

The sales assistant was great in helping me put everything together. She showed me how easy it is to change buckles and she even altered the size and added extra holes to really create the perfect belt just for me. My belt was then packaged into it’s very own dust bag and placed on a foam strip to withhold its structure. It has now taken a proud place in my belt drawer!
